Welcome to the A&A Group Homepage
The Astronomy & Astrophysics Group is part of the School of Physics & Astronomy, in the University of Glasgow. Members of the group conduct research in a wide range of astrophysical topics, with the current focus on solar and plasma physics.
We offer undergraduate and postgraduate taught courses as part of the School of Physics & Astronomy, as well as supervising PhD projects and hosting research fellowships.
During term we have regular seminars from external visitors and groups members.
The group has a long history of public engagement: please see our outreach pages for the activities we currently offer and contact information.
We are located in the Kelvin Building on the main University of Glasgow campus (for directions see here) but also occupy two observatories: Acre Road in Maryhill and Cochno on the Kilpatrick Hills.
