Mailing lists are arguably a form of electronic publication.
The Mailbase web server maintains a page
of
useful resources about electronic mailing lists, including a
directory of scholarly electronic conferences.
Automatic mailing lists are all broadly the same in their functions.
If you need help on how to use them, try sending a message
containing only the word `help' to the subscription address (a
rather pathetic plea helppppp, but it usually works).
Further guidance is available
on the web, or by sending the one-line message
