Microsoft are notorious for attacking the open source movement (if I can call it that). Interesting developments are the Halloween document and its successors. See also a recent discussion of this on RRE. Along the same lines, Microsoft came out with a fine shovelful of FUD in their Linux Myths page. This, unsurprisingly, generated some responses on slashdot.
