MacOS X

Very random, as yet:

• Apple's MacOS X site, and MacOS X developer site and OSX Unix apps downloads
• Darwin (FAQ and FAQ-o-matic). The Darwin source is available from the Darwin CVS repository.
• Developer documentation for MacOSX and Darwin. Specifically An Overview for Developers (schematic) and System Overview (quite detailed). Of general interest are Apple's knowledge base (find TIL documents) and discussions boards.
• BSD on MacOSX and BSD on MacOSX, part 2 are BSD folk's first looks at MacOS X (from late 2000).
• Wilfredo Sanchez on The Challenges of Integrating the Unix and Mac OS Environments
• Lists and other sites: macosx-admin, macosx.org, Darwinfo, darwinos-users. www.stepwise.com seems to have a lot of MacOS X talk and resources. mosxsw.com has a few notes on OS X, plus some ports. Similarly, macosxhints.com seems to be a discussion board for this stuff.
• GNU-Darwin is aiming to port GNU software to Darwin. Fink seems to be the same (is it?), and contains notes on GNU libtool on MacOSX.
• XFree86 on Darwin
• Upgrades to 10.0.1 (TIL 75125), 10.0.2 (TIL 75134) (also ?12181), 10.0.3 (TIL 75134 again!), 10.0.4 (TIL 75142) (or to 10.0.4 from any 10.0, TIL 75141); from 10.1 to 10.1.1 (TIL 106582).
• OS X 10.1 was released in September. TN 2029 is the amalgamated release note.
• TeX on MacOSX: TeXShop, Gerben Wierda's teTeX for MacOS X
