The cartoon

A nicely colored description of how hot/cool jet juxtaposition might take place within the framework of emerging flux (EMF, not anything electrodynamic particularly). The AFS is our familiar "arch filament system", which raises the question of identification here with the filaments implicated in the Sterling picture. The paper in which this cartoon appears has an exhaustive biblography, and makes excellent use of high-resolution observational material to follow through the modeling concepts involved.
