is a Perl module which parses the output of (n)sgmls.

editing SGML. It has now moved to
sourceforge.

tool to allow remote queries of a central database of texts.

SGMLtools-Lite is the successor to the now-obsolete
SGMLtools project and consists of the easy-to-use
front-end, a large number of processing backends, and some custom stylesheets.
I think it's primarily devoted to the DocBook DTD.
sgrep
is `structured-grep', and claims to be very useful for
querying structured text, such as SGML. I haven't played with it, but
it looks as if there's a niche it could fill very neatly.
