The seminar will take place at 3:30pm in the School of Physics and Astronomy (Kelvin Building). Duration is around 50 minutes plus about 10 minutes for questions and discussion. Faculty members, research assistants, and Ph.D. students coming from a wide variety of backgrounds in Astronomy and Astrophysics (from Plasma Physics and Solar Physics to Cosmology) attend the seminars, which are devised to cover topics of general interest in Physics and cross-disciplinary activities. We generally suggest the speakers to devote the first part of their presentation to the introduction of the research field before entering into the details of their research results. I would be grateful to receive your title and abstract in advance so that I can put them on our web pages. Please let me know at your earliest convenience what your travel arrangements are and whether you will require accommodation. We will cover reasonable costs. If you need directions, you can have a look at http://www.astro.gla.ac.uk/general/getting-here.shtml and http://www.gla.ac.uk/about/maps/ You can either take a taxi from the train station (to the Physics Department of the University of Glasgow in the West End, Gilmorehill Campus), or the underground (to Hillhead, then use maps linked above to find you way to the Kelvin Building, it's about 5 minutes walk).
