This section covers some SGML topics in a little more detail than is necessary if you simply want to write Starlink documents. It should give you enough understanding to allow you to read most DTDs.

This section is for extra, or more detailed, information than it was necessary to include in Section 3. It will not, therefore, repeat information presented there.
