To start the menu-driven task type
% echmenu ...any other parameters...
at the command line prompt.
This starts the fully-interactive version of ECHOMOP. All subsequent operations are carried out by selecting items from a menu, and providing various parameters.
To start the package in automatic mode type
% echmenu TUNE_AUTOMATE="a,b,c...,EXIT" ...any other parameters...
where a,b,c etc. are the numbers of the processing steps which should be performed. Any required parameters must have their values supplied and the last step requested should be EXIT (or 99) to ensure that the program terminates correctly after processing.
This starts the automatic version of the package running at a terminal. In this mode graphics may still be produced and all processes will report on their progress on the terminal.
In the event of serious problems with the reduction you may be prompted for assistance. The automatic nature of this mode is confined to those situations where an option of automatic or interactive is available. The programs will still prompt for the values of parameters they need, however supplying a single backslash (or using the NOPROMPT keyword) in response to any prompt will cause defaults to be used thereafter.
