ECH_GENFLAT
Function
Output flat-field balance factors to an image.
Summary
Within ECHOMOP there are only limited facilities for inspecting the
flat-field balance factors. ECH_GENFLAT outputs the balance factors
produced by ECH_FFIELD to an image frame. This image frame can then
be inspected using, for example, KAPPA DISPLAY.
The image produced by ECH_GENFLAT corresponds to that produced by the
IRAF command apflatten. Ideally, the frame should be flat at a value
of one in the inter-order regions and display only a smoothly-varying
function in the orders themselves.
