I will be working on observations that are useful in determining the energetic importance of accelerated electrons. You may want to consider this as a general topic for study. In particular, I will be analyzing RHESSI X-ray images and spectra with a view to determining the total energy in accelerated electrons for many well-observed flares, and comparing this to the energy in the thermal plasma as determined from RHESSI and complementary data sets.
