X-ray inversion software

 1) Inversion software is the collection of IDL routines designed to work with SPEX/OSPEX and can be downloaded here: inversion.zip

Starting in counts, the inversion software calculates either model-independent photon flux (inv_counts2photons.pro) or electron flux (inv_counts2electrons.pro) A brief introduction can be found here: http://www.astro.gla.ac.uk/users/eduard/rhessi/inversion/purpose.html

2) Quick start with the software can be found here http://www.astro.gla.ac.uk/users/eduard/rhessi/inversion/quickstart.html

3) An example runs of the inversion software using OSPEX (OSPEX script, spectrum and srm files are included)

     IDL>inv_counts2photons,obj=o,reg_tweak=1.0,order=1,guess=1

and

IDL>inv_counts2electrons,obj=o,reg_tweak=2.0,order=1,guess=1

can be found here: http://www.astro.gla.ac.uk/users/eduard/rhessi/inversion/example/
