Perhaps a relic from J. O. Stenflo's early career, in which he followed up upon
the Alfvén-Carlqvist
cartoon, in order to study the inductive storage of magnetic energy in the
corona.
This of course is still a live-wire topic.
The paper itself interestingly does not include mutual inductance among
current threads, as seen in loop-loop
models (and observations often enough
as well).
The decisive physics of inductive storage does not figure explicitly in
the CSHKP concepts.
