A fully detailed cartoon describing 3D magnetic reconnection in
a spine-and-fan geometry as an explanation of radio type III bursts.
The basic skeleton is in black (spine) and gray (fan), emanating from
a null point.
This of course, being a singularity, can have no particle content and
so would be unrelated to any observable; however the QSL (quasi-separatrix
layer) field would have finite volume and might be a different story.
That is presumably the business of the HFT, for which
Titov must take responsibility.
In any case this geometry is frequently observed.
