The cartoon

Here is a cartoon representing the impact of the solar wind upon the terrestrial magnetosphere. It headlines "Reconnection" but the matters discussed quickly get deeper into the subject than the average solar cartoon: the S's represent entropies, and the paper freely discusses not only that kind of exotica, but also KAWs and Kelvin-Helmholtz vortices.

Technically the Archivist likes this cartoon because of its hand-drawn appearance in pastel colors; also it is noteworthy because it unusually places the Sun to the right of the magnetosphere, where the Earth is represented as a disk.
