Energetic electrons can stream along the magnetic field of an ICME flux rope, and it turns out that they can stream in either direction (or both). In the events described here, there was sunward streaming but evidence for a solar origin. That allows a limit on the number of turns of the flux rope: five or fewer. This contrasts with the many turns often seen in depictions. of interplanetary flux ropes, or even flares. Indeed, with such sparse sampling, imagination may run wild.
