By acclamation the gaudiest version of the basic CSHKP, based on the SOL2002-04-21 event. What it lacks in technical detail (where is the active region? But maybe this is a cartoon intended for a [Hyder]{html/Hyder_1967SoPh....2..267H_FLA.html) flare rather than the normal SOL2002-04-21 kind. Where are the SEPs? Why is the flare so exaggerated size-wise, relative to the body of the SUN? Where are the downward cusps, expected from symmetry, if the artist is really serious about magnetic reconnection? Still, this cartoon does have its fans, perhaps because of the jarring colors.
