PITS

PITS is a simple PHP/MySQL application that allows you to track equipment across a threshold. The system was initially designed to keep tabs on computer equipment as people bring equipment to and from a GNU/Linux InstallDay.

New equipment is registered with the system and has a label slapped on it. The system keeps track of who owns what, what equipment is still "on-site" and what has been taken away.

There's lots of problems that this doesn't solve, but its a basic system that helps.
