The Summer School will take place in Sabhal
Mor Ostaig, Scotland's only Gaelic College. Founded in 1973, the College
has become internationally recognised as a centre for the Gaelic language
and culture.
Sabhal Mor Ostaig is a modern, innovative
college and is an academic partner of the UHI Millennium Institute. The
College has excellent learning resources, including an exceptional library
collection, on-campus accommodation and Gaelic-medium childcare facility.
The College is set amidst spectacular mountain and coastal scenery, with
stunning views across the Sound of Sleat and south to Ardnamurchan point.
Sabhal Mor Ostaig is frequently used as
a venue for international meetings, conferences and summer schools.
In 2004 it hosted a CESRA
Solar Physics workshop co-organised by Glasgow University.
