Brief description
The Parker model results in a set of implicit equations describing
a steady-state, isothermal solar wind. These can be investigated
(using, say, Maple) to derive the velocity profile of the wind,
and to understand the meaning of the various possible solutions.
More sophisticated models can then be investigated, which include
thermodynamic effects.
