A colorful cartoon demonstrating how radiative transfer works in a scattering medium, with application to the distortion of meter-wave solar images. This would be over and above any systematic displacement via refraction. These effects have long been recognized but now can be modeled more precisely, and applied to the modern data now being obtained from LOFAR (e.g., Morosan or Chrysaphi).
